Custom Lid for 40gal Breeder Pics Added

So I more or less decided to stay with the 40 gal breeder tank. But, the screen lid is a nuisance getting in and out of. Idea born out of need.
I'm building a custom wood top with a Vent on one end a Light mount on the other and a large hinged door in the middle. My lid will be almost 6 inches tall to accommodate the lights.

All the lights will be mounted up inside the lid so they will be hid from view. Should put the basking light at the desired height from his basking area.

Got everything installed. I love how it turned out. My Father inlaw is truly talented. So nice to look at my Viv without being blinded by the lights.
