So I've been slowly working on an enclosure for our beadie as I have free time. However, I recently picked up a curio cabinet for really cheap and thought about repurposing it for a beardie enclosure. The problem is that it's an awkward size so I'm wanting opinions.
It stands a total of 6ft tall, but the actual cabinet part is 52 inches tall (with the bottom "stand" taking up the rest). The depth is only 12.5 inches (so probably 11-11.5 internal) and width is 32 inches (around 31 internal). There are several adjustable shelves that I could customize to create platforms and climbing areas. And the front is framed glass doors that run the entire height of the cabinet.
So essentially, would this be worth the effort? It's furniture quality, thus the main reason I'm considering it (our beardie is in the living room).
Eh its a bit small... beardies generally should have a enclosure thats 48 inches in length, and at least 18 inches wide and tall.
If you want a nice enclosure thats more suitable for the beardie i'd build your own out of plywood or melamine. https://beardies.dreamwidth.org/2145.html
This is a pretty good way of putting one together.
I'm already building one that's 4Lx2Wx3H. It's just time consuming with all I have going on. I've already built a 2x2x2 base for it to sit on and provide storage but I could always repurpose that.
