Should I try to seal the holes with something? If so, what would you recommend? Ive noticed they can burrow inside the wood where the dragon cant reach them, and they live a long time that way! LOL
If you can teach your beardie to eat from a separate container (like a rubbermaid bin), I think that would be ideal. It's amazing where those crickets can hide!
If you like feeding inside the enclosure like I do you can always freeze the crickets for a few min before feeding and drop them in one at a time until your BD stops eating.
Another method that works great is plucking off the back legs of the crickets and leaving them in a shallow dish. they won't be able to climb out and they still run around like crazy
Thanks everyone, if I cant get him to eat outside the viv, I'll just try plugging the holes then LOL. I do like feeding him in the viv though - we'll see what happens.
Trust me, things become a million times easier when you feed in a separate box. No hiding places, no need to chase crickets around to get them out, easy clean up. So much better. A clear rubbermaid works great. Crickets can't climb the walls of the clear ones.
