CRICKETS ESCAPED TANK!!!1

Somehow the crickets I put in Sandy's tank to eat escaped? I have some cardboard along the side of the tank for privacy during egg time but it backfired.. does anybody know what to do? Will they cause an infestation? Will they breed? I have no idea how many escaped but I'm hoping not many.

Try your best to catch as many as you can. Other than that leave a small plastic lid with something for them to eat like greens [ not the cricket quencher though, it's bad for dragons ] so they don't bother Sandy. She should be fine.

Thank you. I had no idea that cricket quencher was bad for dragons! We caught around 4-5 mostly in the kitchen/hallway area. Its around 76*F so hopefully they will not breed if any are left over.

They can't breed in your house unless it's around 80F and they have a substrate like sand/soil or maybe a potted plant. Almost all reptile owners have had a crickets escape, myself included , and they just disappear or die after a couple of days or weeks. In the beardie's tank they can breed if there's a warm, damp substrate but it's still VERY unlikely.

This is why I stopped using crickets and went for Dubia roaches (well that and the better nutrition, less noise and less smelly)
