I'm reading this article on the sandfire ranch page about cresties being discovered in 1994 after being presumed extinct. If this is the case, would they not be endagered and if so how exactly did they end up in the pet trade so quickly? Or was the species so far gone that the pet trade was the only way to preserve it? Have amature breeders restocked the species in the wild?
