My friend is currently wanting a bearded dragon. He goes between his house and his girlfriend's often. Usually they alternate, one week at his, one week at hers. How would his bearded dragon do in that sort of circumstance? He said he's willing to do change his schedule, so he could extend time at each house to accommodate to him. I've been doing research and informing him on dragons, and I know he is a qualified owner. I'm just curious how the dragon would do in these type of conditions? he is buying 2 tanks, so it has a home both places. Proper lighting, food, and all that will be available at each house.
Well, normally they tend not to do well with moving around constantly, because they go through relocation stress. It can affect their health & mood, overall. If they get used to a certain location then I suppose it might work.
I don't want to discourage him. If he will have the proper setup at each location, as well as steady amounts of food then he could give it a try. Is he going to get a baby, juvenile or an adult or does he know yet?
He wants a juvenile. He is getting the exact same set up so the tank feels the same (one is 55 and one is 40, because space allows only a 40g at his girlfriends). But the things inside the tank are going to be extremely similar if not identical. So that may help?
