Considering A Leo Gecko as a pet.

After doing some digging, I've decided that if I'm going to get a new pet, it's gonna be a Leopard Gecko. =)

To anyone that owns them, is there anything that the websites don't tell you that I should know about Leopard Geckos? I'm excited to get one and wanna make sure I've got everything set and in place beforehand.
My birthday is in 12 days now, and I've gotta get some stuff. =D

omg i love them! i have 5. they are really easy to care for, gorgeous and fun to watch (they are the cats of the reptile world). my only words of advice are not to use sand and go slow with the introductions. 2 of mine were very friendly from day one, the rest required work. i just kept putting my hand in the tank so they could lick it. after a while, they all became friendly enough to climb up my arm, which i now refer to as taking escalator rides. oh yeah...they can live 15-20 years so make sure you are in it for the long haul!
