Concaved Scales?

Beardie name(s)

Hey everyone, just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with this or anything similar. My boy Chester is 3 and i have had him since a hatchling but i have noticed he has some concaved scales on the top of his head. it almost looks as if some of the scales are folding in on themselves. Behavior wise there is nothing out of the ordinary. i have had his enclosure, heating, lighting, diet and supplements all checked by a reptile vet and have been told that there great so he is a healthy happy boy. im just wondering if the scales are cause for concern. is this an under lying health issue or does it have the potential to turn into a health issue. i have no problem with taking him to see a vet its just a 5 hour round trip so before i cart him off on that adventure wanted to see if anyone had any advice first and potentially save the vet trip. I have some half decent photos, its hard to get the camera to focus on it to see super clearly. if i can work out how to post a photo i will :)

Hi there, Chester looks great, reminds me of my dragon quite a bit. I have seen this on other beardies and it never seemed to be any real problem. The only place I saw where someone claimed their dragon was cured of this by checking that their supplements were not outdated. I remember they claimed that once they got fresh supplements that their dragons scales changed back to normal. I have no idea if it was true or not but I have never seen that this is harmful.

Aww thank you so much! i have also been in contact with a reputable reptile vet in my area and sent them photos they said looks like he might have just had a bit of a weird shed but nothing to be worried about. what can i say im a bit of a helicopter parent when it comes to my boy 😅 im pretty sure the supplements are relatively fresh i recently bought more but ill check the dates on them anyway and might switch them out! thanks for the suggestion.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
