Hello again beardie world! I'm picking up our Christmas tree this weekend, yay!! But I have a couple of questions. 1. Can Mags climb in the tree or is this a huge No No? 2. On the off chance that Christmas trees and dragons are an ok mix, can I chop a few of the branches off and put them into her viv for her to climb on?
Cooper used to LOVE climbing in the tree and poking his head out from the high up branches. It was his favorite time of year. He even hopped on the train and went for a ride once =). I plan on getting one for Darwin this year. I hope he enjoys it as much as Coop did.
OMG ITS A VIDEO!! Ahhhh!!! ? That absolutely made my day!!! Too cute. I wish I could just climb up into a Christmas tree and nap too. Cool well hopefully Maggie will start playing in the tree instead of trying to escape to places she shouldn't be. So if the Christmas trees are ok I am assuming using some branches for tank decor(disinfected and baked of course) should be fine?
I keep tree time to outside of the tank but I doubt it would cause any harm to put a branch in the tank for a little while. I'd keep it away from heat sources. I also wouldn't bake it because the heat may cause sap to ooze out which might not be good for her.
Ooh I didn't think about the sap! It's all good I just need to add a few branches to her tank for climbing and I figured when it was time to chunk the tree it maybe convenient to grab a few off of it.
I've heard of snakes on a plane but now....dragons on a train. Very corny, I know ! Just wanted to say be careful, someone posted about their dragon eating tinsel a few tears back, so somethings on your tree can potentially be very harmful. You know these crazy guys sometimes get the notion to eat anything.

Is it terrible that I laughed like a crazy person at that? Epic "dad joke". My daughter breaks everything on the tree and destroys ornaments so we actually use homemade stuff. Last year we painted pine cones and this year we are doing salt dough ornaments- no tinsel, that stuff is gorgeousl but god awful messy. However I will avoid the garland this year just in case and switch it for a popcorn garland
That's a good call. We never use tinsel so it wasn't a concern. Just lights and big ornaments. Do be careful about her eating things though. You'll want to stay on top of vacuuming the needles up.
Omg you guys are killing me with these tree dragons ??
I'll definitely make sure to keep on it and keep an eye on her. I hope I don't lose her in the tree!! Come to think of it I hope she doesn't poop on my tree also ?
