i've got a question and hopefully this is just a common thing. my beardies apparently needed a break from crickets. now they went back to crickets but they will only eat about maybe 6-10 crickets of the appropriate size before filling up. after that they ignore the rest not to mention some hide. i've heard stories about crickets munching on beardies and that's not happening! so do i remove the crickets after feeding time and then put them back in afterward or do i only remove them at night. also 6-10 a session...my beardies are young but that just seems like a snack to me.
Their hunger will come in waves, that's normal. Keep offering all they want in 10-15 minute windows and they'll take what they need. They do also get bored with their staple sometimes. This tends to be individual preference more than anything. It's good to have a couple of backup feeders (roaches, silk worms, Phoenix Worms) to offer them as an alternative. I suggest feeding crickets in small batches of maybe 5 or so at a time. That way they are easy to track and it's easy to pick out the leftovers. You'll want to remove the leftovers right after the meal.
