Well, he just made a "mess" so im doing the HPD, but he seems like whatever it was he managed to swallow. It just makes me feel like somethings wrong if you know what i mean. I'm keeping a close eye on him.
How big was the cricket that made him choke? Perhaps he was eating too fast and tried to swallow two at a time?? Considering he managed to swallow it, be sure to NOT feed him anything else for a couple of hours, to be sure that it would be properly digested. Also, keep him under his basking spot to promote proper digestion.
I hope he'll be ok. Keep us posted on his condition.
Chimera is HORRIBLE at eating to fast... he would have 3 to 4 in his mouth before he would try and swallow... so now he gets one at a time , takes forever to feed him but hes just to much of a piggie!
ill put him on the basking side, but he's on my lap
He has a habit of eating a few crickets in one bite and has never had a problem. He does seem to be breathing a little heavier than normal though. He is now joyfully running around my room.
He isnt a big eater and usually only eats a min of 20 or a max of 60 crix. (although once he ate 120 for some odd reason.) When he opened his mouth and was gagging, his saliva seemed to be a different colour.... Like a brownish, i just thought it was cricket "guts," but I want to be sure.
