Hello!

A bearded dragon twitches because of a prolonged nutrient deficiency – in both vitamin D and calcium. These are both essential to the health of a bearded dragon and play a role in a number of bodily functions and processes. Twitching is likely a clear sign of MBD (Metabolic Bone Disease) – the most common disease in this reptile that requires veterinary assistance. He may have MBD and needs veterinary help. You should contact your vet and see if there is anything serious going on. He also isn't getting enough lighting and needs to get that fixed. You should maybe try to get him out into the sun as best as you can.

Hope this helps! :D

Hello,

Be sure the dubias are smaller than the space between his eyes to help avoid impaction type of
issues. Has he ever had the twitching prior to now?

Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
