So our dragon hasn't been eating much lately and has been on and off lethargic. I thought it was maybe a sort of cool down of brumation sort of thing. We took him in and his bloodwork came back looking okay. He does have a very slight twitch in his leg, which we are monitoring. Again, his bloodwork showed nothing alarming as far as vitamin levels. Vet also said that if he continues to not eat through the weekend, we are gonna start him on a liquid calcium supplement. He's back on Albon just in case the slight parasite issue may have been causing it. He was like this before the Albon. I talked to the vet today, and he said to stop the Albon until Saturday and then cycle it again. He said chicken baby food was okay to give him for now. I forgot to ask him how much food to give. He weighs about 350 grams and 8 months old. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks much.
I know not everyone believes in this stuff but when my beardie was on albon and panacur he just stopped eating all together, but reptaid completely changed that. He actually eats better now than he ever did before medication. His energy level is a lot better too.
It wouldnt hurt to invest in some.
As far as the baby food I would use a syringe and put the food on his nose until he decided he wasn't gonna eat anymore
Hm, then I'd say just take it slow, you don't want to feed him too fast or he could throw up or it could go down the wrong pipe. As far as quantity, if he's not voluntarily taking any food then I don't kno when enough is enough, sorry I couldn't be more help
