All the light fixtures I have for Simon and my little tree frogs don't say anything about using with a ceramic heat emitter... I've been using the bulbs in the fixtures and they have been working perfectly fine. So why are they not supposed to be used for this?
As long as your fixture has a ceramic socket and not a plastic socket, and of course as long as the wattage is within specs of the fixture, there is nothing to worry about.
If using a CHE in a plastic socket, the CHE can melt the plastic and possibly lead to a fire. So make sure the socket in your fixture is ceramic.
