So we got Captain a month ago on the 10th. He's tripled in size since then, if quadrupled. I had seen him in the store I worked at for 2.5 weeks and he didn't grow this fast!!! Is this normal?
I've always said he's my little fatty - he's a piglet.
every dragon is different, some grow faster then others Capitan is a special dragon, in your heart he took that piece and made it a bond
and yes, dragons are fatties. love to eat till their bellies are on the ground
My husband jokes that he's like scrappy doo at meal times "let me at em, let me at em".
He definitely took that piece of my heart. It's in his fat belly ? , he absolutely loves to stuff himself stupid and go lay on his branch. Arms and legs by his side like "Oi food coma Zzzzz"
Glad to hear they grow at their own pace though. Just seems like he didn't grow, and now I'm shaking miracle grow on him.
No doubt you are feeding him better than at the store and he has no competition for food and once they reach 7-8" their appetite really takes off. In the before pic he looks to be about 6", that is generally the size of a 4-6 week old dragon.
Oh yeah, going at this rate Captain Crawlie is gonna be a nice big fatty-pants! No doubt at all that he's got it a lot better being home with you than he did at the pet store, so enjoy the tiny cuteness while it lasts!
I've shown several co-workers Captains growth and they are flabbergasted at how big gotten!!!
I'm trying to wait for the $1 a gallon sale to upgrade her tank. But I don't think I can, I got her the smaller viv as a temp cause it was big enough for now and I could turn it into half crix/ half roaches with a partition.
We were going to do the $1 sale on reptile tanks, but we have it on aquariums right now. So I can still get it and just get a topper.
Unfortunately, I don't have a shirt pocket. Poor Captain seems like she's shedding every other week.
