I have a bearded dragon that's 2 years old I wanted to know if it's safe to use a leash to walk him around the house, and can you walk them around outside with the leash? I currently take him out in a container them I sit him on my arm. If you can take them out and let them walk around with the leash do they to wear small shoes?
Thanks
Yes, you can use a leash on your adult dragon. They don't walk along with you like a dog will, the leash is more of a safety line so they can't escape. You shouldn't need a leash in the house, just block off any unsafe spaces and let him roam.
No need for feet protection outside, thats what their tough skin is for.
As Gail already mentioned, you can safely leash them. If you look on Etsy you can find some dragon harness/leash combo's for about 7$ 3ft to 6ft. If you're dragon is 2 years old, I would go for a 6ft one.
