I got her about a month ago. She was born June 11th, and is about 6 inches. the breeder said she was a female, but I am kind of seeing an indentation above the vent, but she also has a huge buldge where a female would. In a baby that size, would I be able to know her gender? Because she looks like both.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. At times, I can tell on a week old baby if it's a male because there will be 2 tiny bumps that look like there are toothpicks under the skin above the vent. You would know it if you saw it. But not all males show that early. If you look there with the tail arched back and twist the tail ever so slightly, the tiny stick like bumps may show....but sometimes it takes longer for them to be obvious.
She has little bumps there, but I went to feel them to make sure if I was seeing things or there were actually bumps there, and there is nothing under them, I don't know if that's normal or not. I'm about to go look again and try to get a picture. The breeder seemed so sure... But eh.
