Molly is just over 2 years old, I've had her since she was 6 weeks old and she has never been with a male.
Just before Christmas, she started frantically digging and I thought she was gravid, I took her to the vet (a reptile specialist) who said she wasn't so that was the end of that.
Now, I've just given her a bath and rubbed her tummy (she likes that ) and I can feel some lumps and I have a feeling they might be eggs? She has been digging a little in her tank but nothing out of the ordinary. Do you think I should make a lay box to be on the safe side?
Now next question, can I turn one end of her viv into a lay box or does it have to be a totally seperate box? Reason I ask is that I don't have another heat source for a different box?
If anyone can give me some pointers and advice about if I can do this at one end of her viv that'd be great. Also, anyone who has kept gravid females what kind of thing should I be looking out for so I know she is gravid? I bought her more calcium to be on the safe side and she is eating her veg and crickets like normal, no changes in her appetite.
If it would help I can post a photo of her from the side to see what you guys think?
Many many thanks in advance for your help, I love my little Mols and just want to take the best possible care of her that I can
I put 30kg of sand in the hot end of her viv. It takes up about a third of the space in the Viv. Make sure to wet the sand so she can make a tunnel. I dont think there is any problem with this. My girl is about to lay her 4th clutch today.
