I've had my Beardie Falcor for about 7 months now. He's been perfectly healthy and growing considerably. I've been over his lighting, heat, feeding and terrarium and all seems to be well. A couple days ago, I tried adding some shredded carrots to his salad. Last night, however, he had diarrhea for the first time ever, and it has a bit of an orange hue to it. The only thing I can think that caused it would be having given him some carrots.
His salad consists of collard greens, endive, butternut squash, a little cucumber and the added carrots. He gets hornworms a few times a week along with some superworms a couple times a week.
He just went through a shed of most of his body, only his front legs left to shed. He gets a bath about every other day and loves to be out of his terrarium as much as possible.
Can anyone tell me if they've had similar issues with carrots? I can take a sample to the vet of need be, but I did one about a month ago as a precaution just to make sure he was healthy.
Yeah diet change and/or high water content veges can cause that sometimes. Probably nothing to worry about but I'd stop with the carrot or dial back the squash and cucumber if it continues for more than a few times.
