Hi there! Something I've been wondering for a while is if beardies can have birthmarks, or something similar on their skin?
My roughly 3 year old beardie has always had this random black dot on his upper lip. Seeing how it has never caused any problems I'm not worried about it being a health related, more so just curious as to what it is.
Anyone got any ideas?

Hi ! Beardies can have something similar to a freckle or birthmark, sometimes more than one. They can be bright colored too , mostly orange from what I've seen with my own beardies and others. At times SOME beardies develop melanoma, it's not common at all but if you saw numerous new black spots pop up you might have a reptile vet have a look but with just one black spot it's highly unlikely.

Hello,

I agree, they can get little freckles or various marks on them but it shouldn't be excessive though. As AHBD says it is definitely
something that is fairly common with them.

Hey there!
My 4 month beardie Hazel(My profile pic is my beardie) Also has a freckle but it is orange so you don't need to worry. If there is constant spots, then that means they're either stressed or sick so there's nothing to worry about because it is just a freckle but if there is a problem with symtoms, then you need to have your beardie checked:)

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
