I bought a bearded dragon in may and chose a hypo because the breeder told me the lack of pigments would encourage his colors to be even brighter as he grows which is what i wanted(he is a red x orange dragon..though he is displaying neither of these colors yet, much to my sadness)

but, my little guy has a black strip in the front of every single nail, front and back, and then the rest is clear, but the nails look black because of the strip, unless you're looking closely. they've been like that since i got him...doesnt a hypo have completely clear nails?
they had on his listing he was hypo and then they explained to me it meant they had clear nails but he doesnt so im a little confused. i imagine it isnt difficult to tell whether one is actually hypo or not, right?

his nails look like this photo i found on google:

I'd call him/her.. it's def. disappointing to find out something different than what you were told especially w/ an animal.. call me hot-headed, but I'd be a bit more than unhappy..

The basking side of my tank isn't getting up to the suggested 100degrees. Does that mean I need to get a new basking light?
