So my guy is acting normally otherwise, but the last 2 poops were urate only. His pattern recently has been to poop within a day or two of eating his superworms, while in the bath. He ate 6 supers two days ago, and had a urate only poop yesterday and today in the bath. He did not eat any supers yesterday. I was expecting to see that nice dark green part in his poop by now. So my question is, not knowing how their tract works, could he be "peeing" without "pooping" (if you know what I mean…) with an impaction? Or does the fact that he's "peeing" mean he could not be impacted? Should I not offer any more supers until he has a real poop?
He's 17 1/4" long, 380 grams, 15 months old. Has had no issues with supers previously...
he is well hydrated… in fact, i gave him a second bath today. mixed a few drops of vegetable oil with some squash baby food and squirted about .4 ml of it in his mouth before the second bath. gave him quite the massage on the belly- could not feel anything untoward… maybe i am just overreacting. will see if i can coax a poop tomorrow, and/or if he's interested in eating any more worms. thx for the response!
