I am asking because when ever my bearded dragon sheds i grab the scales from his nostrils and gently pull it out. along with the scales comes a stringy rubbery yellow thing. At the end it looks like blood. I do this to both nostrils and the same thing happens. After I do this he looks perky and his eyes sparkle. Nothing bad has happened because of this. I was wondering if bearded dragons can have a stuffy nose. I only pull the scales when he sheds.
When I pull shedding out of one of my snakes' noses that normally happens too, it's just the snot they have in their nose, just like how we snot in our noses. If your bearded dragon is oozing snot from the nose, or is having trouble breathing out of the nose (open mouth breathing all the time, wheezing, popping/clicking noises when it exhales), you should see a vet.
They actually shed the inter nostril as well as the outer hole. It should look only like whitish dead skin if it is bloody looking it is because you are removing it before it is entirely ready.

Your welcome!
You can help slightly if the skin is already coming out but if it doesn't slide out super easily then don't do it because it's not ready. A bath will also help to loosen it so it comes out naturally and easier for your beardie.
