The calcium i currently use is repti calcium with D3. I do it once daily. Is this to much D3? his lights are on for 12 hours a day. he has a t8 10.0 8 inches from the basking spot mounted inside. i have a calcium powder without d3 if that would be better. hes roughly 2 and a half months old if that matters.

No he needs the D 3 5 x per week ONCE per feeding - calcium w/ out D 3 will come when he's a year IF you go to a T 5 - if not you will still haft to give the D 3 more often w/ a T 8
I make sure to gut-load with D3 sources.
& I use advanced husbandry.

The calcium should be fine.
I supplement with D3 Gut-load/Food. & then the lighting is advanced, so he metabolizes it.

Some sources say you need D3 more than others.

The basking side of my tank isn't getting up to the suggested 100degrees. Does that mean I need to get a new basking light?
