So ive been looking all around the web for a while on what days to dust my beardies feeders and i was just wondering if i could get some help sense there so many ways
I have a reptisun 5.0 bulb and my beadie is roughly 1 month old i was told to dust him 3 times a week with calcium and i read others are dusting them 5 times a week and 1 to 2 for vitamins
I really appreciate the help thanks
My approach for young lizards who need the protein and calcium and are growing and developing fast - Every bug lightly dusted with calcium , on weekend it's a mix of calcium powder and vitamins (50:50).

I have a reptisun 5.0 bulb <<<< 5% UVB is inadequate for bearded dragons , he needs at least 10% UVB from the compact or T8 or T5 tube , he'll not be getting enough UVB to metabolise his dietary calcium properly.

As the previous poster mention, a ReptiSun 5.0 is not strong enough. Get the 10.0- either a t5 or r8. t5s are better because they are stronger and last about a year, as opposed to t8s which need to be replaced every 6mo. Offer as many insects as he will eat in 10-15 mins 2-3 times a day, with one feeding dusted with calcium.
Thanks for the replys i only have the 5.0 because i got an amazing deal with the zoomed flourecent tube and hood at the supershow for my 40 gal breeder but i am going to switch it out just havnt had the tike to go out and find one figured some sort of uvb would b better than none but iam doing 2 to 3 feeding and dustine mon wensday and friday with calcium and sunday with vitamins

if you still have the box the 5% UVB tube can in , you could try returning it to the seller for an exchange , else keep it (in the box , you might need it for a skink or gecko sometime in the future).
If you can't exchange for a 10-15% T8 (as you have a luminare for a T8 and you can't put T5 tubes in a T8 luminare (batten), can you relocate the existing T8 tube and luminare closer to the floor the tank so the dragon is getting 2x - 3x the UVA and UVB he's getting now (say put it half the distance away that it is now, mounted from the back wall of the tank.
I got it from LLL reptile but ill jus tsave it for future needs i just orderd a reptisun 10.0 HO T5 online and ill dust with d3 crikets 1 meal 3 times a week and vitamins 1 time a weekend
