Calamity (maybe)

As many of you know we've had a very traumatic year. We've lost 4 beardies this year. First and foremost It has been absolutely heart breaking for us.
It also absolutely wrecked my plans for breeding. I've lost 3 adult females all with fantastic genetics. And one male also with good genetics.
In my arsenal I still have Sinatra. He is hypo, het trans, het zero, blue bar Dunner.
I got Zsa Zsa for my birthday.
She will be 1 year old on January so still some time before she is ready. She has pretty stellar genetics also. She is hypo, trans, het zero, color stripe tangerine citrus. She will eventually pair nicely with Sinatra.
We got Stumpy just over a week ago. He is hypo, het zero, leatherback.
Today I ordered 1 more female to round out a start up breeding program. She is still very young but her genetics are spot on.
She is a hypo, het trans, citrus, blue bar, leatherback, Dunner.
I of course won't ever pair her with Stumpy but with Sinatra she should produce amazing babies.
She should arrive Tuesday or Wednesday.
Im going to upload a few pictures of her and her parents.

Isn't she just the prettiest lil thing?
We are kindda kicking around Calamity Jane for a name. Suggestions are welcome though.

Odd that you've lost so many this year. One of the negatives of these chases for the newest and coolest genetics. But that's a discussion for another thread.

I bet you are super excited for the arrival date. Almost makes me want to get another one just so experience that excitement again

Names... Because of the colors, I'd go for "Plasma". But I've seen you're more into human's names?

Two of them were rescues and in bad shape when I got them. It doesn't make it any easier but it wasn't a total surprise. Zen getting pneumonia though caught me off guard he had been doing great before the move. And Snickers, what is the odds they would wedge themselves into a place that suffocates them. Loosing her that way nearly made me stop keeping them. (Some kind folks here straightened me out on that )

Yeah the grays can turn into a very pretty lavender color when fired up. Sinatra has a similar coloration and when he is fired up he is stunning.

Yeah but are you even really married if you don't think every decision you make regarding your own personal hobby is going to lead to your wife murdering you?

I've deliberately avoided the red monsters just for that reason. They are beautiful to be sure, but I'm skeptical of their hardiness.

I've deliberately avoided the red monsters just for that reason. They are beautiful to be sure, but I'm skeptical of their hardiness.

There is really only one or two breeders working with them right now that I'd even trust to buy one from. And I believe that one of them hasn't been offered any for sale despite working with them for the past 2 or 3 years.

The baby is VERY beautiful, you can't take your eyes off the spots on her back.
I think if you and Christina like Calamity Jane, then so be it. But maybe you'd like to continue the tradition and name her after one of Sinatra's wives?

Ava was on the short list of names. She was also one of Sinatra's wives
I had to work hard to convince Christina that I should get this lil girl, I may have to let her name her to keep the peace lol.
