Hi,
I need some help trying to find out the best size cage for my baby female dragon. I've had her for a month now. She is currently in a small cage and is growing like a weed. I put her in a 10 gallon when she was given to me because she was soooo teeny and I couldn't financially get a larger one at the time. She's grown from 4 1/8 inches total length to 7 1/4 inches total length in just over a month (she is all tail though)! She is definitely too large for her cage now. She is my first beardie, so I'm not sure how quickly she will continue to grow. Should I get a 20 gallon long at this point, or should I get something larger? I would hate to get a 20 gallon long and have to buy another one in a couple months. I guess I am wondering what size I could get her so that she can be in it for at least 6 months or so, because again, financially I can't spend $100+ on a new cage every couple months.
Thanks, I ended up going with the 40 gallon. Hopefully she'll be nice and comfy in that for awhile. She looks so little right now with it! So much space to move.
I agree perfectly in getting a 40gal tank although i suggest a 55gal or a 50gal tank because its bigger and your Beardie has much more space, makes it much less nervous.
