New Beardie parent. My 2 year old boy, Excalibur, has been closing his eyes a lot and now he's started sleeping on his hammock. Is this burmation? He'll still eat and he's gotten a lot better temperament wise. I still can't pick him up yet. The lights are all new and I don't think they're hurting his eyes. Thank you for the help.
Their appetite usually declines with brumation. What is the temperature on his hammock? Which lights do you have in place for him? If he just started this recently it could be temporary maybe due to shed or even a weather system moving through which can sometimes cause them to bunker down. If you can post some photos of his setup it might be helpful to determine if anything stands out as a possible issue. I would keep a log of his weight as that is a good indicator of overall health as well as a good metric to monitor brumation.

Which 10.0 bulb are you using? Is it the compact bulb that comes with those kits? Those aren't very effective from what I've seen. Best bet is to use a T5 tube for UVB lighting. Your temperatures are good so I'd keep the basking lights the way they are.
