Bumblebee...roll out!

He’s here! The snow cleared and we were able to make it today. I was wondering why Tom didn’t work today.

He’s settling in right now and we tried to sex him he is still kinda young which I thought he’d be bigger (note I never met Bee or his parents). Breeder said he is the second smallest next to Donatello (the runt he’s keeping). So he had two runts Im fine with that. I had Kane out and he stopped by the 20 gall he tilted his head and black bearded at Bee (who’s in his tank btw) he quickly calmed down and just waved at him. They do not have adenovirus he said they didn’t (parents) Bumblebee and Donatello are both runts he assured us that he’ll grow out fine.

Seems to be true. He’s seen phoenix worms.

May 1 which means he’s 4 months old now and growing nicely with no problems. Officially 11” long as of last week. I hadn’t checked weight yet but I will. He’s also becoming more chilled out instead of running around. He’ll still run and active just now chilling in windows. He’s a good kid. I got stuff to get done. Including our african grey who is calling for his bath. He knows bath day.

Yup only Victor likes baths.

I had a scare today. Bee hid under my nephew’s stuffed animal after he got spooked by Victor (it makes sense as he’s a bird). He heard flapping and he was GONE! I tried to follow him and lost him in my nephew’s room (he stays sometimes). I ended up still turning the room upside down and all along he was under a tiger. I sighed and said “Bee...lm glad you’re found.” I then did eskimo kisses to him. I realized I have to clean his room. I put Bee back and note Victor wasn’t in the same room Bee just heard him flap his wings in our room. Tom was clipping Victor’s claws or something I don’t know. I cleaned up the room so my nephew has a place to sleep.

Victor is pretty good staying away from the dragons. He just does his own thing and ignores the dragons.

Bee's reaction is pretty understandable since he doesn't know that Victor's not out to get him. Glad you found him.

Very scary. I didn’t expect that since Bee was very chill and Victor not in sight.

Might be early but we moved Bee over to the 40 gallon. He’s got all the appropriate stuff (including longer uvb appropriate for 40) so he’s all set until he grows more. He hit 11 1/2” long now. More climbing branches and plants to hide himself if he wants a break from uvb and being out in the open in general. We also got a plushie for him. It’s a poison dart frog plushie. He loves it. He’s already going to be close to 12” long and not even a year old that will be January 2026. He may be my biggest dragon probably passing Jamie in size but not Kane our 25” long boy. Gotta thank the german giant in him.

Haha that’s alright when he gets bigger he’ll go in the 80 gal. I did F10 the 20 gal and put it away till the next baby dragon. I have the 80 ready and the 125 gal. They’re both ready to be used. I’ll also post pics of him occasionally especially documenting his growth like I did with all my dragons so far. Except Vash (first beardie), I joined here 2012 and he was 8 years old at the time.

Sounds like you're all set. He'd have to get really really big to outgrow the 125 gal. That's what we had for Puff and he didn't really use all that space.

Hospital was fun... this is sarcasm. I was being hospitalized for mental health. I just do a lot and never take a break. I mean Tom works from 8am to 4pm. I gotta give him lunch. Bee is still growing rapidly and he needs his meals I can probably do twice a day I already do that with protein as he’s not a literal hatchling anymore so I don’t do 3 protein feedings a day that I once did. He is almost a foot long I definitely call him a juvenile now. I don’t mind letting him out at 1pm so he can potty.

I should just nap. Everyone is doing well, Bee ate all his salad.

That's pretty impressive that he eats all his greens at his age -- off to a good start.

Yeah, being in the hospital is no fun -- especially if it's a mental health thing. I was hospitalized for that once and I hope I won't be ever again. I hope you're doing better.

Im still betting as soon as he’s 1 yr he’ll just pick favorites and hate the greens. Broly ended up liking only the favorites never touched a green again.

Bumblebee is still young so he eats what I give him. My trick is using unsweetened/sugar free apple juice. He has no idea why he likes collards/bellpepper (twice a month treat) so much. I do use other things in salads like, kale, mustard greens, dragonfruit (this is very rare), apples, grapes (these two once a week), carrots (also once) and summer squash I think it’s really called acorn squash? I don’t remember. He doesn’t like sweet potatoes. He’s growing a beard I see a bump where a beard would be. Aww it’s adorable.
