whats up guys, i havent posted in awhile and i would love to start talking about the vivarium im making. so far i have the peices cut out and nailed together. it is 4 ft long, 18 inches high and wide. a perfect amount of room for my beardie. im also going to be soon housing another beardie that my brother is getting so theres plenty of space for him. i have a question though, what size uvb light should i use? one that goes across the whole viv? or like half of it? thanks for your time of reading this. ILL POST PICS WHEN ITS FINISHED!!!!!
Yeah, I'm going to advise against housing the 2 dragons together, if that's what you're saying...
That being said, ideally you want your UVB light to take up about 3/4 of the length of the viv - that way your dragon can get out of the UVB if they choose to (mimicking "shade").
Thankyou for your input. I don't get it. How do some people get there beardies to live with like two others without a problem. I'm going to make sure it's the opposite sex.
A male can actually get so aggressive that he will kill her during mating. If you would like to know more look up cohabitation on the site. The subject causes quite the ruckus on here.
Back to your topic however, how is it going? Did you get much more done yet??
it just rained here today so i couldnt work on it, but i have purchased more parts such as vents and screen for it. i have a question. i wanna put little pants in pots to put in the vivarium, what to you recomend?
I wish I knew. You can always put a new topic up and I'm sure people will chime in. I have seen a few people had live plants in theirs. I have always avoided it because of humidity issues. They do look really neat
it will be finished soon. i painted the inside and staines and polyurathained and stuff so it takes a day or 2 after each coat to dry and air out. it looks so great. should only take another day. pictures will be here soon
