So I know that variation is ideal for our babies, BUT, would there be anything actually bad/harmful about feeding our 4-5 month old only BSFL for a couple of weeks? As protein - of course she will still get her veggies.
I'm only asking because we were accidentally sent 1200 instead of 600 bsfl and they started to moult before we even had them a week. We've since moved them to a cooler location, but IDK how long we'll have.
And we happen to just have run out of dubias and crickets anyway so I thought we could just go heavy on these for now as long as there's no actual harm in it.
ZARDOZ has a very active (overactive?) hunting response; if it isn't moving, he won't eat it. I tried some BSFL, and he'd eat them if they were live & wigglin'. Once they started pupating/moulting, they didn't move (as much) so he wouldn't touch them. Of those that were still wigglin', he was growing so fast that he outgrew them very quickly (we just fed him more per meal). None of this may apply; as I said, Z has an active response, and each dragon is different.
Mostly she will eat what you put in front of her, but it does seem that since she got these new-to-her yummies, she is not eating her veggies as well. Hopefully just a phase though, as she has seemed to cycle like that since we got her. ??
