Hey everyone my bearded dragon is approximately a year and 2 months old. Over the past month she hasn't ate much and hasn't really been very active. I was wondering if she is to young to brumate or is she going into brumation? She has no interest and food and just lays down the whole time and refuses to bask. She's perfectly plump and health still and hasn't ate in about a week or so.
But it's best to first go over the husbandry first so we can rule out a health issue of a husbandry issue causing the symptoms. As they are often pretty close in relationship to the signs of brumation.
Mainly, if you could go over what uvb bulb you have, what bulb you are using for a basking bulb, the temperatures in your tank, and what the daily diet looks like, we should be able to rule out any husbandry issues.
I don't have much experience with MVB's as I like the tube + basking bulb setup much better, but if she seems to be fine under it, then that's ok. No signs of eye irritation or anything like that right? That's all I'd really be concerned about in that regard.
102-105 might be a bit too hot for her, at this age. Which could possibly explain her lack of basking and wanting to be on the hotter side. I'd try getting it to 100 and see what happens. You are measuring with a temp gun or digital thermometer with probe end correct?
