My beardies are all getting very sleepy, not eating as much and it is probably brumation, but from what I hear, 7 month old and 5 month olds are not old enough to brumate. I am confused because they are definetely acting like it. I posted pics. They are Frankie (the smiling one), Rosie (the beautiful one on the log) and Teensy, the 5 month old. Aren't they the cutest things ever?...Come on....let's hear it...
Yes, they are beautiful! Your babes are a little young (especially Teensy) to be going through Brumation but it's not unheard of. There's a great article on brumation in the "Care Sheets and Articles" section. (Top of page, in green :study: ) It really helped me with Myah and I highly recommend it
Yes, I read the whole thing through and it is a great article. That was what left me wondering about little Teensy, the one with all the cute spikes around her head. She is so little. She was a runt when we got her. I wonder if they were off on her age? She was starved and missing all her toes on her back feet. They were not sure how old she was at the time. Could she just be small for her age? She does eat well and has a nice round tummy now.
Teensy is a doll. Alot of things can affect size. They have a habbit of making up for it later though. My Myah will always be smaller due to lack of protein while young (With her 1st family) but she still gave me a full body shed at just over a year old. She's a more normal weight now. Teensy could go either way. Time will tell
Not really. I should start one for them. I don't get to go online as much as I would like with work, kids, dragons, life.... Some day. I just read a lot on this site and it has, really, saved my beardies. I love this website.
