so, after the swim she took, she no longer wants to brumate...hope i didnt mess up her cycle or anything...i picked up a 150w bulb and a rheostat today (since she has been trying to bask instead of brumate), so im adjusting temps now to get them right...basking spot is 112 currently, ide like to get it down to like 103-105...just some fine tweaking to do, better than the 91 it was at when i got up today
fed her some large superworms but i dont think im going to do that anymore...she was swallowing them and then making a sound like a tire deflating...idk if maybe she was choking or what, or hissing at me for not giving them to her fast enough (hand feeding 1 at a time)...but ill stick to crickets and occasional mealworms/wax worms i think
it seems to be the year for on-again-off-again brumating! Ryuu is doing the same thing. The house heats up a bit in the afternoons sometimes and she is up and running around :? She even ate today after begging for food- which was odd.
Mine is doing the same thing. Some days she is very active, others she just wants to hide the while time. Its hard to tell what she's up to. Today she was in an exploring mood so i let her out while we were eating and she actaully came into the dining room and laid down right in front of my foot. I thought that was the coolest thing, she didn't want to leave my side.
