Brumation or Something Wrong?

My girl's been in her cave a lot, refusing greens when she used to be a great eater, and has even started giving me the glare and squinting when I offer roaches. Hasn't been basking and if I put her there she goes back in her cave. She very rarely comes out to look around, maybe dig a bit. The most active she's been is digging in her cave or moving to under the log right outside it. This started back in May so I reached out in some Discord servers and got overlooked after they checked that my temps were fine. Nobody suggested brumation so I thought she was upset for some reason, so I continued feeding her roaches & bathing her to poop (since she stopped pooping inside her tank during this)

Unlike what I usually hear about brumation she's not really asleep all the time, just giving me the glare from her cave. She is sleeping more though, so maybe?

This can be brumation.
My dragon Taco behaved very similarly (in fall but we're on the Southern hemisphere).
Also, he was not asleep all the time during brumation, but more like: awakening maybe at 10am (normally: around 6:30 - 7am), taking a nap around noon (normally: no naps), sleeps early maybe at 3-4pm (normally: 9pm). He was in his cave most of the time, awake and resting. Only on some exceptionally sunny days he came out of the cave a bit, usually not with his complete body but more like propping up his front legs on the cave entrance, basking and even pancaking a bit, then back in.
(Taco is back from brumation since a months now, and we're approaching spring here in the Southern hemisphere.)

Even with temperatures being fine: Dragons react to changes in temperatures, and to the day length.
The temperatures were always on par, and here we have a rather Mediterranean to hot desert climate (think of places like Southern California or Sicily which are similar). But still, of course, temperature is a bit lower in winter compared to summer, and despite I don't vary the duration I keep the lights on much, how much daylight there is changes and he can see that. And he reacted to this - even: ending brumation exactly on the day of winter solstice.

Thor does the same thing. He first stops eating his greens, then his bugs. When he refuses bugs, I know he's getting ready for a months long nap. He's currently been brumating for about three weeks now. He'll probably get up some time in November.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
cookie event at my library today, quite fun! Made some bracelets for my comrades too, to give them at church in the morning. Got a busy day tomorrow even though I’m off work… i go back on tuesday so atleast I’ll have 2 days off to rewind….then back to hell lol
