Hi Bunny....they always feel cold when doing a true brumation. Mine sleep at 60 - 70 degrees, like a log. I don't wake them for anything, but if they wake on ther own I offer water dripped on their snout if they want a drink. Then I make sure they are perfectly dry before they go back to sleep. I know it doesn't seem natural, but they are designed to just slow down in a cool spot + sleep.[ of course they have a cave/shelter in the wild ]

i'm sure they are similar to us in the respect that our bodies have to drop to a cooler temperature to actually sleep, so body temp drops, breathing drops and heartrate drops as well. now i do leave the lights on for heat source if he wants to come out he will, if not he will hide from it on the cool end of the enclosure
