Our vet tech is on at night I am flagging the post to her --- in the mean time please go over your UVB your using and your surface basking temps and how your getting them? Please call the last clinic that looked at her and have them email you copies of what was done and medication she has been on and how much given then post them on here --- the blood coming from the mouth and eyes is terrible---- I am posting a website for you to find a reptile vet in your area -- I would look for a place that takes emergencies for reptilesHello.
I am speaking on behalf of my sister.
The bearded dragon, Perky, is roughly a year and five months old and her weight is 440 kg.
It was believed that Perky was in her brumation stage. She has been in this stage for seven days. She hasn't moved since the start. Her eyes have been puffy for three days. Two days ago, a little bit of blood came from her nose. Today, when my sister was giving her water there was blood coming from her mouth. Blood also came from her eyes as well. We looked and studied her body a bit further and noticed that her nails had turned red as well The body temperature was normal.
Previously, in early September, she had yellow fungi, and we were able to take her to the closest clinic that would take lizards. She was treated and was told that she was healthy. She stopped taking her medicine at the beginning of this month.
We are not sure what to do now.
We have attempted to call vets around our area and outside our area. The clinics either couldn't take her because they don't have a reptile specialist, the doctor doesn't take emergencies, the doctor isn't in, or they were booked—the whole family made calls to clinics in an attempt to get her looked at today. This is sort of a last resort for us. Any information would be helpful and valued. Thank you.
Yes, I can post a pictures of her. Let me take them first.Hello, can you post a few pics ? I've never seen or heard of a live dragon in that condition. If this is really happening it would usually be in a dragon that has died.
Breathing is uncertain. My sister believes that Perky is still alive. Is she breathing at all ? Did the dragon drink any water offered and Is your sister sure that she's alive ? If this dragon is alive it needs a vet ASAP.
I.. uhh.. um. convinced my sister to move her. Well, Perky is in another world.I'm sorry that this is happening to Percy, something is very wrong that I can't figure out but the bugged out eyes can indicate heart or renal problems. Tracie [ Drache613 ] will be on later and might have some input but Percy doesn't look good. I hope this is something that she can get through but it doesn't look good.
Do you have pics of the yellow fungus when they suspected it ? And ask your sis what type of meds. Percy was given. Was it Itraconazole or Voraconazole ?
