I just got em from petsmart, shes so tiny to and has the same coloring as yours. Mines about 4 inches so Im guessing probably 2-3 weeks old..Em is so tiny she and her half her tail sit on my index finger but Em is eating well and running around his/her viv. Looking at yours Id say about the same age as my Em. 2-3 weeks no older than 4 weeks. Hope this helps.
Ziggy has to be at least 4 weeks old because I've had him two and a half weeks and he spent at least 5 days at PetSmart based on what the employee said. I think the breeder sent the store newborns though with as tiny as he was. He's already an inch and a half longer in just 2 weeks. We picked 7-14-12 as his b-day which would put him at 5 weeks old yesterday.
I put in a call to sandfire dragons since thats where petsmart gets all their dragons from. I want to know about EM and what he/she is I think a leatherback but not sure and Im sure they can tell me the color morph if I precisely describe Em. Ems tail right now is a very bright orange but down the line on the back is a pinky coral color with some orange along the side spike fringe. Her dark color is almost a chocolate with white lines and on her head and legs just like yours.
Ziggy is a feisty little guy, he was quite annoyed with the measuring tape being added to his enclosure. I thought he might be more inclined to sit still if I put it in with him instead of bringing him out to check his length. He puffed up, charged it and tried to attack. Wow. After he calmed down a bit we tried again and he's double digits now. 10 and 1/4 inches and just under 4 months old.
I'm sorry to hear about Dreganna. I can only imagine what it must be like. Hopefully Ziggy will help fill the void. And he is adorable. I especialy love his markings.
Ziggy is five months old now and I just measured him and he is just a tiny bit shy of 15 inches long from snout to tail tip now! He's growing so fast and is a bottomless pit when it comes to food. He's downing 50-60 small crickets (I won't buy larger sized crickets because I don't want them to chirp) and 50-60 large reptiworms per day plus a bowl of collard greens and various other veggies (he loves yellow or orange bell peppers, various types of squash, carrots, blueberries, grapes, watermelon and zucchini. He only gets fruit 2-3x a week and only a tiny amount compared to his veggies but he lunges for those first thing. I think he has a sweet tooth. He's also got me conned into hand feeding the greens. Definitely spoiled but I adore him.
He's shedding right now but will get an update pic soon.
Here's a picture that I took a few minutes ago showing Ziggy's current size.
I also took one by the front door Christmas wreath. I thought about letting him lay on it but got too worried that he'd freak and fall so forgive my arm in the photo, lol.
I wanted to take one by the Christmas tree too with all the beautiful colored lights, but he wasn't having any of that. He puffed up and went rigid with a black beard so I took him back to his enclosure to settle down. I probably should get a pic when he's pissed off, just to have one, but I didn't want to prolong his annoyance. He's been suitably comforted and given a back rubbing and treat so all is well now.
