Hi trying to see if this question will be answered here. I have an 11 inch 4 month old and he's had eating issues. Started him on Reptaid 3 days ago and now he's eating. My question is can I feed him small supers? Husband bought these home saying "it's to give him a change in diet and offer him variety" Gotta love him. He actually went to the pets store and thought of the little guy :)
And now that we're snowed in and still getting snowfall, Brady's Pheonix supply is dwindling down and I have these small supers which Brady ran after one yesterday when we tried one. He seemed to like them. Also wanted to order some hornworms to try for next week hopefully. Will this be ok as a staple worm too? He won't touch crickets and I don't want to start a colony of dubais. Can I purchase the nymph dubais somehere to feed like I do the worms? How much care will I need to keep them alive? Thanks and I hope I'm in the right place now to get some answers.

Hey Monica,

I would stay away from supers at this point. Your dragon is still a bit small to properly digest them. Typically, dragons need to be about 15" before you start them on supers. Dragons have a "kink" in their digestive track that can become impacted from supers. Once they grow up a little, that "kink" goes away and then they are fine.

We just got HAMMERED from the snow too. Where are you located? We got over 24" in a day! My back is killing me from all the shoveling...

Hi, Thanks for the advise. He ate some today for breakfast and dinner. I guess we'll stop feeding them. We got over 24 inches and we're in the woods in MD. Can I feed him hornworms? I'm stuck for a few days without anything since he won't eat the Pheonix worms. I want to order something for next week.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
