Hello all. My daughter and I just lost our bearded dragon over the weekend named Bandit. My daughter and I really enjoyed interacting and caring for Bandit. My daughter is very anxious to get another dragon, but she wants to research more and she would like to get a book on bearded dragons. One that is sort of a "bible" on them. This site is awesome and we have learned so much, but she wants a book she can have in her room and on hand. Can any of you recommend one by any chance?
I'm sorry to hear about Bandit. I know how difficult it is to lose a dragon buddy =(. I'm glad to hear she wants to do further research before adopting another dragon. The books I've seen so far aren't as comprehensive as I'd like and a lot of them contain misinformation. The best resource I know of for dragon care is this site. Feel free to come on here and ask any questions you'd like and we'll all be quite glad to help in any way we can and share as much information and experience as we have. Aside from that, if she's looking for something tangible to have on hand, it may be worth printing out several of the guides/articles from this site which give a good baseline for general care. You could print them out and put them in a binder to have on hand and that would also allow space to add additional notes and updates as you find them. Perhaps others have some suggestions for good books, but I haven't yet come across a comprehensive and reliable book for overall care.
