Help!! My dragon had a large slightly bloody poop today. We have been moving recently and I have been reduced to feeding him several super worms because I had no access to veggies. Could this be a cause of him not eating his veggies and then having bloody poop? I'm concerned because this has never happened before. Thanks!
It's possible that lack of veges has caused some dehydration and in turn caused drier poop that made him strain a bit causing bleeding. Was the blood loose/bright red or was it more mixed into the poop and darker red? I would offer him water via drops on his nose to lick up and see if that helps. If it's not a continuous thing I wouldn't worry about it much and get him back into his veges when you can.
Hmm. Could be further up the line. Keep a close eye on it and if you continue to see blood over the next several poops I would consult a vet. Do offer plenty of water though as hydration will help protect internal systems.
