[QUOTE="Spider8ait1994, post: 2031320, member: 101939"] He doesn’t seem to have any issues with any of the medication he’s having. When he has Meloxicam he bahaves as normal. With the Tramidol he doesn’t black beard but he does tend to stay in one spot and have little micro-naps throughout the day so usually once I give him a dose in the morning I get him settled in his bed so he’s comfy. The Ceftazidime injections he also tolerates really well. He stays still for me while I’m giving them to him, doesn’t Blackbeard, struggle or hiss and he’ll wait until I’ve got the syringe capped again before moving around. He’s definitely bumped back to 6ml of formula now and hasn’t had any trouble with that lower volume. Maintaining warmth isn’t a problem at the moment because the weather here is really starting to heat up so ambient temp in general has been between 26°C - 32°C so in his actual enclosure with his lamps it’s consistently sitting between 33°C - 37°C with those readings coming from the floor level of the tank since I moved the temp probes down lower to get readings from the level of the enclosure he’s restricted to while recovering. The post-vomiting sounds I heard with his breaths have all cleared up within around a half hour or so of the throwing up so that makes me think it’s just mucous that’s come up in his throat and such that he’s working on clearing away and the Ceftazidime would be what the vets usually prescribe for aspiration anyway so he’s already on that post-op so if he has inhaled anything at the very least he’s already being treated with Ceftazidime. At this stage he’s really only had a black beard on the two occassions he threw up and is otherwise his normal coloration with the exception of putting on a greyish beard if the tv is on and a show, person or advert he’s decided he doesn’t like comes on which so far is politicians, one specific quiz show and an insurance advert.
