i have a 4 year old male who up until 3 days ago was very actvie
i bought new was worms and super worms a pet co
he ate the superworms about 6 and about 3 waxies
now for the last 3 days he has been bloated off and on pale in color and black bearded
and acting like he has trouble breathing
was acting fine when i got home today and i fed him some of the waxis as he loves them
started doing this again
when potty yesterday but was laying in it
help really worried about him
When you say trouble breathing, is it like he's choking ? Is there any way you could post a video of him choking, also of his set up ? Has he been out of his tank or doing anything different at all ? Is there a chance he ate something else....any fake plants or loose substrate in the tank ? Was he just sitting in his poo or laying around like he was sick ? Hopefully there's an easy solution and he'll be feeling better soon !
trying to send pic sent it to son hopefully he can get to work
Lexi's tank is slate tiles
cleaned weekly with hot water no soap
and he spends alot of time out he would rather be playing with the cats
weather has changed
hes not choking just act like we do with and upset tummy laying around and wanting to sleep
He doesn't look like he feels very well.
Can you review your tank setup with us, such as the type & brand of UVB & if it's a tube bulb or compact/coil light?
What are the temperatures in the tank & what type of thermometer are you using?
How close to his lights out did you feed him?
It is possible that the waxies could have upset his tummy if he isn't used to eating them.
Do you have any probiotics you could give him, such as non dairy soy yogurt or non dairy acidophiliz you could
give him to see if that helps out?
