I'm pretty sure that last time I checked the chart of food, I saw that blackberries were occasional. Well, I was thinking of putting some blackberries on Fred's salad, but I don't know how to prepare them, blackberries do have that little soft stems on the inside, so should I try to get the stems out? Or would it be fine if I cut the whole thing into into small pieces, with stem still intact?
I understand this is a pretty stupid question, but I didn't know if Fred could digest the stem, even though it's soft.
Blackberries are a good occasional treat on top of a salad. I usually cut them in half or quarter them. They are pretty soft and easy to chew. I'd feed just a little bit at first to see how Fred handles digesting them.
