I've been noticing that the tip of reggies tail is very dark. its not tail rot because its not shriveled or all the way around. its only on the top the bottom is white/grey. when hes in a situation where hes darker his tail starts fading into the dark tip but when hes light its mostly just the end. im a little worried about it being a circulation thing but if that were the case i feel like it would be dark all around not just the top. he shed his tail like a little under a week ago and he had some shed stuck on the tip of his tail but im pretty sure its all gone. I also think it was dark before his shed. is this something i should worry about or is it just the way hes colored? i can attatch pics in a bit if needed.

Do post pics, but most all dragons have a darker end to their tail. It usually can lighten up to be close to matching the rest of the tail, but is usually still a little darker even then.

Of course the day I ask about it it starts to significantly lighten up but it does still seem a bit darker but ig this confirms it being normal. Another question I have while on the topic of his health is lately when he's being pooping I've noticed a bit of his urate is yellow. Sometimes it's lighter and sometimes it's darker but it's only a little part of it. The rest of his urate is completely white and seemingly healthy.

Both look pretty normal 🙂
i was worried about dehydration but it think he gets plenty of water and his poops seem well hydrated so i didnt really think it was possible. is there anything that could be making it yellow or are they just off colored sometimes?

They can have off colored poops. Most of the time it's something they ate. If you strat seeing it a lot and aren't feeding anything with that color, thats when you need to seek a vet's advice.

Yup, if you keep seeing it don't feed the squash fir a week or so and see if it goes away.

The basking side of my tank isn't getting up to the suggested 100degrees. Does that mean I need to get a new basking light?
