I have a quick question. My bearded seems to be doing great, eating, growing, and basking. The only difference is this, towards the end of his tail it is black and shiny and then after that is some normal looking tail. I touched the tail where it is black and seems it bothers him to touch it. I am kinda at a loss since I have never seen this before. Any suggestions? Other then this there is no change, his beard is a nice yellow color too.

My beardie's tail looks the same way. I was really concerned about tail rot etc. especially since he has a hard time shedding it. I have to help him every shed with a toothbrush and a lot of soaking. I've come to realized it may just be his coloring. Elijah doesn't like it when I touch his tail, he always jerks it away from me out of annoyance but if I lightly touch it he doesn't do anything. If it really seems that sensitive then I would suggest a vet visit, it may be fungal but his tail looks exactly like my Elijah's does.
