Black spot on beardie!

I've found this black spot on my bearded dragon, wasn't there last week! Just want to know if you guys know what it could be? I'm in New Zealand aswell if that helps.

has he just shed? if so how long ago? did you try to peel it off when he was shedding?

Hey she has just finished shedding! We only got her a month ago and she's been shedding the whole time. My partner does pull off some she'd but only the stuff that's pretty much off ( I do tell him off for this) I don't specifically recall seeing any shed in that area but I may missed it

She may have pulled off a scale and when a scale is pulled off, It grows back black and there's nothing you can do about it but watch if it gets infected

Okay thank you! How will I know of it gets infected? I was going to give her a bath today should I still bath her?

Yes you should give her a bath! You can tell if it is infected if it is swollen and/or red.

My guy as some of those black spots it’s not a big deal most likely just pigmentation of that particular scale. They develop little spots like that it’s very common. No need to worry
