Hi Everyone,

I've had my Beardie since 2018 and we've never had any health issues, but today I found black scales underneath his chin after his bath. I've never seen this before, and after some research, I fear it may be an infection or a fungus?

I think it's best to make a vet appointment for him, but I would love to hear the thoughts of others first. How concerned should I be? I'm pretty nervous about this. Is there anything I can do to make him more comfortable? Is this painful? What are the causes of this?

Anyways, if you have any knowledge regarding this please let me know!

Thank you so much!

Hi there, can you think of anything that he might have rubbed it on ? The scales are slightly damaged but Neosporin should help. other than that it doesn't look serious. Raw honey can be used as well but it's stickier and you have to be 100 % sure there are no loose insects in the cage to go after the honey at night .

He was glass surfing for about four weeks a little bit ago. It was pretty intense, do you think he scraped his chin? I made some more room in his cage because I thought he felt too enclosed or saw his reflection in the glass.

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
