hi!! my bearded dragon june has been black bearding alot more recently, but almost always when shes outside of her tank. i will say she isnt eating as many bugs as she used to, but she is still eating her veggies as normal. her energy level is normal, she still likes to scratch at the walls just as often as she used to as to hint that she wants to get out, but when she is taken out she gets a black beard. i havent changed anything in her tank or even outside, i let her just roam around my room where her tank is. i will also say that she is going to the vet after the holidays are over just in case, but im hoping shes just being weird.

from personal experience besides the black beard, it sounds like June might be wanting to lay eggs

only ever inside the tank shes never like that outside
digging or glass surfing? the digging could be shes gravid- I would set up a laybox in the tank and see what she does in there
LAYBOX

Plain topsoil that doesn't have any type of chemicals or fertilizers in it, mixed with sand, etc. Be sure it is at least 10-12 inches deep & that the mix is damp enough to where it will hold up to her making a burrow but not sopping wet to have standing water.

Hey! I'm planning on ordering a 4x2x2 for my next beardie but I'm worried about lighting. I have a UVA and a UVB but they are small (the UVA just being a bulb and the UVB being 12 ish inches?) My house is drafty so I need a strong light that puts off quite a good amount of heat, any suggestions?
