The recommended UVB light is the one that Karrie posted. You have to replace both the tube and the fixture ("holder") into which it goes as it needs a reflector behind it. Here you just have the bare tube, but it needs one that has a curved metal behind it to correctly reflect the light.

ive ordered that thanks everyone for the help, i also think i will be getting her a new vivarium, do you recommend any good basking lights that can be fitted inside of her viv rather than being sat on top?

Can you get one from one of the websites I posted -- what is the distance from the light to the decor underneath? If that light has burned out it is waaaaaaaaaaaay to old -- she has been getting NO UVB at all - please get her out in the sun if its warm where you are - 15 minutes in direct sunlight sitting on you would be good longer if its not really hot------------ Never mind -- you want a tank that is no less than 16" --- optimal 24" --- I can post some sites for tanks if need be -- good basking lights are Arcadia Halogen -- Flukers basking or Exo Terra Intense -- make sure you have 2 digital probe thermometers for getting surface basking temps -- 95-100 F --

thats exactly what i did! she ran around being crazy then when she had been asleep for a while i put her back in, she was out around 2 hours all together im assuming thats ok then so i feel much better, would you be able to tell me a bit more about brumation and what to expect?

How tall is the tank you have coming? The screen on the tank is going to determine where the UVB is placed and distanced-- she should be fine for a few days w / out UVB

hello, its 6 inches taller and deeper than the one i have now which is 4 foot by 2x2 , i went to the pet store yesterday and ive been reccomended all the correct things to do and buy i think

That's a nice size viv, be VERY careful of what equipment and lights a pet store recommends though ! They are notorious for carrying junk bulbs that are not up to real standard of beardie + other reptile care. What bulbs are they ? Brand + strength are very important. The ones that Karrie recommended are the standard, recommended bulbs .

I agree here w/ ahbd --- reptile stores have been known to recommend colored bulbs -- that is a NO NO

Hiya! i have actually just found that she is a “he”Ive renamed him as Cheetos
didn’t seem right so his name is actually now Walter lol, I will be picking up the new vivarium the end of next week, i’ve ordered everything else i need online, such as the digital thermostats that turn off when they get to the correct temps which will be a life saver, ordered new subsrate and flooring for one side of the tank, ordered him a hammock also haha, and got the new light that a lady recommended to me! so all set just need to go pick his new vivarium up, he is just super sleepy all the time! im assuming because the viv he came with is incorrect, hopefully will become more active when i have it all set up nicely He just loves cuddling i am in love with him already
